shortLIST: blogs (revised)

Tommy Deadstock, http://www.tommydeadstock.com
This blog ain't for everybody but if you're really up on your sneaker game, you should subscribe.  It's 100% about sneakers and their impact on culture.  Each post focuses on an individual sneaker and offers a dash of perspective on life.  The blog moderator assumes this alter-ego, Tommy Deadstock, to defy his by-day self. His bio explains: "I started this blog as a change of pace from the grey and blue life I live Monday-Friday so if you like my posts...rock on...and if you don't then kiss my Converse!"  And so, most of his posts read like a confessional from a closeted sneaker addict with murmurs on existential pitfalls.

2.0., http://www.georgetwopointoh.wordpress.com
'We'd be doing this anyway...' sets the premise for this blog which showcases the many talents God bestowed upon activist, humorist, journalist, grammarian, musician, sartorialist, actor and cultural critic George A. Peters, II.  Though he's most notably known for his one-man-any-man antics (#punswild if you follow him on Twitter, you'll get it), ocassionaly he invites others to share the spotlight on his blog as contributors and subjects featured in laptape adventures recorded on his MacBook Pro.  He employs many different devices and techniques with every post which as a whole refreshes the concept of blogging.

Said at Work
, http://www.saidatwork.tumblr.com
A daily collection of the shockingly hilarious, painfully awkward and inappropiate comments people share at work.

DMC Time Travel, http://www.dmctimetravel.blogspot.com
If you think this is a wiki inviting the international science community to share their theories on the continuua of space and time to advance a discovery, you're not very bright. It's a music blog with a thematic backdrop, simply paying homage to the Back to the Future trilogy.  The theme doesn't get any deeper unless I'm not very bright and totally missing something here.  With weekly mixes featuring artists like The xx and other artists who have begun to trigger new movements in music, there's very little space for pastiche and fillers.

coachella x jackson hole horse emporium

Imagine yourself dancing barefoot to live musical acts, day-in-day-out, in a place of obscurity. And once the last act plays its set, you return to the proverbial cadence of a typical day, where shoes (and polos) are required.

That's how life post-Coachella feels.

I miss the freedom.

I miss my buddies.

I miss Coachella.

On the final day of Coachella, my buddies and I formed a band, to be known as, Jackson Hole Horse Emporium (pictured). Check with us next yeararound this same time—to see if we ever learned how to play or program any instruments. <!-- /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} span.EmailStyle15 {mso-style-type:personal; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-ansi-font-size:10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial; mso-ascii-font-family:Arial; mso-hansi-font-family:Arial; mso-bidi-font-family:Arial; color:windowtext;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> My Coachella experience was without inhibitions, limits, curfewsand sometimes without shirts), and all the while I was under the influence.

My bandmate Boom shares our expereince on tumblr and Flickr.

damn, i look good on all screens

I'm confident so that's just really how I feel!  So haaaa....

Although I must admit, it's weird watching/hearing yourself.  I don't know if I could ever get used to that part.
